September is Quokka birthday on Rottnest Island off Perth.

Every year Alex Cearns from HoundsTooth Studios runs a series of quokka photography workshops as a part of their Down to Earth Photo Breaks photography tours.

These photos were taken as a part of one of those group tours which was run on 30th Sept 2022.

First are my photo’s which were taken with the Canon 5d4 with my 100mm macro lens.

Ethan also joined me for the day. he was supposed to be using his Olympus point and shoot, but when it came to actually taking the photos he wanted to use my back-up camera body, my older Canon 70D, which was paired with the Canon 50mm f1.4 lens. This is what he has achieved :
